  • Cold potatoes

    Hi all,

I am new to this and planting everything in pots this year. Weekend before last I planted on early early potatoe in a pot and put it in my little plastic greenhouse thing. At the weekend at least the top of the soil, maybe all the way through was frozen. I have dug up the potatoe today and it looks fine. Will the frost likely have killed it, and should it look different if it has?

    Thanks

It would be rotten if the frost had got to it, the potato would be soft or black. It should be fine undercover.

Pot some bubble wrap round the pots (make it about 6" higher than the pot) and drape some fleece over them that will Help Blossom, mind you, were supposed to be having a heatwave on wednesday !!!
