Onion sets and garlic cloves.

Today I finally managed to plant up the rest of the onions that I purchased, and also two rows of garlic. I only had time to finish the planting and then add the assortment of peelings, shreded paper and old odd bits of greenery from the garden to the allotment compost heap.

I wanted to stay there longer but could only allow myself an hour as I had other commitments today.

Next time, I really need to clear enough of the weedy bit of the plot to be ready for the Spring planting of potatoes. Once the frosts start it will be harder to work on the allotment. I also need to weed around the small Lavender plants that I have planted to form a low hedge.
When I visit the plot I will also have to try to find the time to check that weeds are not growing around the newly emerging onions and garlic. I am desperate to make progress on the plot in case it looks as if I am not doing anything as the plot still looks very overgrown
from the path.
