You name it I've had it - snow, sleet, hail, rain, sun - every day for the last three days.
Anyway, after some delays due to non-arrival of compost, I have finally started sowing in the tunnel, both for myself and for my GC orders.
So far, I have sown; 960 Hispi Cabbage, 920 Minicole Cabbage, 320 Derby Day Cabbage, 920 Golden Acre Primo Cabbage, 1200 Marathon Calabrese, 216 Little Gem Lettuce, 216 Saladin Lettuce, 216 Red Salad Bowl Lettuce, 432 Green Salad Bowl Lettuce, 80 Amorina Lettuce, 80 Charita Lettuce, 164 Champion Moss Curled Parsley, 150 Chilli Plants (a mix of Apache, Cheyenne, Jalapeno, Scotch Bonnet) and some Bedford Fillbasket Brussel Sprouts. That's my staging completely full, so I need to start harvesting what plants are growing on the tunnel floor - but will wait til Thursday so I can use them for my box deliveries on Friday. I have 60 Charita lettuce ready, Early PSB ready, Calabrese Marathon ready and Black Tuscan Kale (though some of this is starting to run to seed.)
By next week I should have managed to more or less completely cover the tunnel floorspace with more sprouts, cauliflowers, more cabbage, leeks, kale, calabrese, more lettuce and tomatoes.
My boxes this week will contained some or all of the following - potatoes, carrots, onions, cabbage, cauliflower, celeriac, claytonia, chives, parsley, swede, black tuscan kale, calabrese.
That's about it for this week folks. Catch you later...........
