Well, another week passed and the weather has been atrocious - either tipping it with rain accompanied bby severe winds, or just the severe winds with no rain. Either way it's been wet and wild up here this last week.
My new cover for the tunnel should have arrived last Friday but didn't then I was told it'll arrive this Friday (yesterday). I got back from my deliveries at about 15:30 to discover two small rolls of sheeting had been left by my tunnel frame - certainly not what I was expecting - my cover is a 1600 square ft bale of polythene. The courier had f***** up and had left me two covers for some guy in John O'Groats and headed north with my big cover still on board. So maybe on Monday I'll get it sorted. Not that it'll go on straight away - the forecast is for the westher to break again on Monday - not that it has been exactly tame this week - at least not on my site.
Anyway - got my boxes done this week and the Farmers Market season starts again next Saturday too so that's a welcome bonus.
This weeks boxes contained potatoes, carrots, onions and some or all of the following - cabbage, pumpkin, kale, calabrese, winter lettuce, parsnips, swede and pak choi.
I have contacted by the daughter of Donnie, the Highlands biggest organic box scheme provider, who had just taken over an 80 acre organic steading, with a view to future business together, so that's another positive for the week.
