Right folks
As you may or may not know, I jacked my last job in February and started growing veg for a living. So far so good, I'm making a living - not much profit but if I can survive this year with the weather we've had, I can survive pretty much any year. In addition, I now have a much better idea about what grows and what sells and how much more (or less) I need to sow of each veg / variety next year.
I sell from the "farm gate", at Dornoch Farmers Market, and have a small but rapidly growing weekly veg box delivery scheme, which currently stands (or falls) at 32 boxes per week.
The wife (my beautiful Belfast Girl, Maggie) doesn't get involved other than to add to the pressure by getting herself pregnant - baby girl due on Feb 3rd. My daughter Iona loves coming to work with me - her favourite job is serving the customers (and keeping the money to herself!)
Anyway, will have to go and search my photo files and post a pictorial history of my first 9 months, soon as I get the photos all resized.
