  • Borage anyone please?

I've ordered some seeds from T & M last week while postage was free and I forgot to order borage (I'm trying it amongst the bras to deter the whitefly). Does anyone have any spare seeds please? I've got lots of run of the mill veg seeds, nothing unusual sorry and I have plenty of flower seeds to swap

I know I have some but it's not in my living room stash. It maybe in my seed tin, in the greenhouse. Can I look for you tomorrow Flo. I know I have some for sure.

If VVG doesn't have it, I can send some, just got it a few months ago, and the plants I grew from them are looking good.

Does the white one attract bees as much as the blue one?

I may be wrong here but I'd be more inclined to try it in the soil, it's possible it will have a better effect.

Be interesting to know, given their vision range

I didn't even know it existed - might get some and throw in between the blue/purple stuff I've got on the plot (somewhere - I turned the soil over and can't remember where the borage was!)

Interestingly, the white one seems to be more expensive in the seed catalogues.

I grew the white one last year and a few blue ones appeared in it. Don't remember the bees on it in particular but it was amongst chives and other bee plants.
For visual impact I prefer the blue. The white didn't stand out in a crowd! Don't know yet whether it has selfseeded - must have a look!
