  • Scone Mad

I just come across this site for 100 varieties of scones, I'll definitely be trying the rhubarb and custard scone.

Scone Mad - the home of Scones on the internet - over 100 varieties

Some of them sound like a meal in themselves, so will be ideal snacks to take down to the lottie.

Dottie are you planning to create them from scratch or buy some from the company? If it is the former, it would be great to come up with the recipes!! (and post on here!!)
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

If you click onto a scone of interest, it states: All Scones have the same basic recipe of flour, butter, water, pinch of salt and egg for basting. So you just add whatever you want to the mixture.

I'll be using a 3.5kg catering pack of scone mix, where you just add water. However I might try adding cold custard at this stage, instead of water.

I'll roast chopped rhubarb sprinkled with sugar, drain the rhubarb and blend into mixture.

If the mixture feels too wet then just add some more flour.
