  • Chickens arrive Wednesday!

I've done my homework (I hope) and at the end of the day a trio of Gingernut Rangers ticked more boxes than a trio of ex-batts.

So as of next Wednesday my pet count increases to 4 (I have a goldfish in the pond).

We are buying from "Widgits Birds" (Poultry Homepage - Chickens for Sale), and everything is just about ready for our new arrivals, but as this is our first time with chickens I'm only 99.99% sure I know what I'm doing.

Any "last minute" advice would be welcome.

    Graham K.

how exciting!! You'll learn as you go along and hopefully not have as many disasters as me!! only joking! all I can say is remember to keep a close eye on your girls and learn how they are when nothing is wrong that way you pick up when something's not right. enjoy you new feathery family members!

put aside 5-10 mins a day just to watch them, not for problems but for amusement, you will find they all have personalities, will make you grin, without fail...not called bird brains for nothing...except where food is concerned, then they can be clever....enjoy..
