Been in touch with the BHWT and they have offered me 4 sweet little ladies on the 5th of June! Guess this means I had better get their accommodation finished off pretty sharpish! The long term plan (in my head anyway) is to let these girls settle in for a few months before partitioning the run and introducing a couple of Bluebelles.
In the long run a would like a trio of Pekins but I think ill accommodate them separately. I think I would like to try ‘showing’ some Pekins in the future. Anyone have any experience of this?
Oh and the ‘knitting Circle’ is my affectionate collective name for them all after my OH (who still maintains she is not that interested) insisted that they be called, Doris, Phyllis, Gladys and Mavis. They just reminded me of the ones in chicken run, who I think knitted. OH tells me off for being mean and stereotyping, but I pointed out that I knit too! Its all good fun!
