All the leaves on my cucumbers went brown/yellow and dies off leaf by leaf.
Would it be too late to start some new ones off?

Is there still some growth on them? If there is, trim off all the yellowed bits and see if you can't save them.
I had the same problem and trimmed all back and now have some healthy cucs on.

Our local Focus and Homebase are both selling cucumber plants - a bit pricey but you will get to harvest some.Happy Gardening,

I have a mini "greenhouse" (from Wilkinsons) and a propagator so maybe they will get going soon enough if it keeps warm?
I guess they won't have much chance outdoors but if I keep them in the greenhouse they might be ok...Comment

My own experience with cucumbers is that come September when the weather turns noticeably cooler and damper the growth rate slows almost to a stop and they have a tendency to develop mildew. If you think you can get a crop before then (and you probably can because they fruit early) then it's probably worth a shot; though you probably won't get the sort of yields you'd have had with an earlier start.Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.
