  • cabbage help anyone

I potted on my chinese cabbage last week and it looks as if it has all bolted already, long middle stem with flower buds on the top.
growing instructions state not to plant it out till late june.
Is the shoot normal or are they ruined?

Chinese veg typically likes cool weather. I normally sow June/July, and plant out in August.

If it's sown in the warm months, it just bolts.

In my bible which is by Charles Dowding he says on no account to sow chinese Cabbage before late summer no matter what the packet says as it will bolt.
