It’s very brave of you to come out and admit it
I have a similar array of seeds tuckeds away in a biscuit tin, which, has been placed in my office desk draw (so no one will find it!) When I go shopping I can’t help thinking yep they will come in useful complementary planting or as dual cropping options - there is always an excuse why I need the seeds damm Snadger and his dual cropping post It has simply fuled my gardening addiction even more I am not at the stage of being able to disclose my stash at this point but I hope I will be strong enough - one day - you are very brave.

      Regards

That looks quite a sensible list to me!!!!

...quite a nice cross section to be honest!!!!

From what I can see it's only the parsnip seeds which won't be OK for next year too...and the following year!

        keep shopping!!!!

That looks like a reasonable list - after all, you don't have to sow everything at once!

Be warned, though, that seeds are totally addictive. I'm now up to two biscuit tins - one for seeds that need sowing later this year and one for seeds that I'm saving until next year (rarely opened and kept in a cool place, for better preservation) - plus a CD storage box with dividers, containing the seeds I need to be sowing in the next few weeks. Admittedly I have a small allotment and a couple of raised beds in the garden as well as various containers, but even so...

And then you'll find - if you haven't already - that you get them out frequently just to go through looking at, with a silly, excited grin on your face. My sons watch me, shaking their heads in a 'Jim Royale' sort of way.

                  I don't have a biscuit tin...

Will a Quality Street tin do instead?

Confession being good for the soul...

I like to bring out my biscuit tin, take out all the packets, look at them, put them back.

Sometimes, for a bit of excitement, I take out all the packets, write a list of all their names, look at them, put them back.

If I feel like going really crazy, I take out all the packets, enter all the names and sowing times into a spreadsheet, look at them, put them back.

This is my first attendance at Seed Hoarders Anonymous... I feel better already

Lol seems this growing business develops some strange habits then - myself included... yes I'm looking at the seeds again.

I was talking to one of the "older Guys" on our allotment the other day, telling him about the hoard of seeds I had and in my first year too. I expected him to laugh and say how I would learn to resist over the years. Instead he admitted that this year he had 10 different packets of sweetcorn which he has bought at different times because they were a bargain. Its not going to get easier is it.
