I thought it would be easy to buy a toaster. A 2 slot toaster that can live on the kitchen worktop. I didn't want something that takes up half the kitchen and does multitudinous things I don't want and need. A nice simple one that won't confuse my hubby in a morning.(He's still getting used to the newish microwave). But I did want the slots to be big enough to take a large slice of bread (out of the breadmaker.)
I wanted to see it before I bought it. For this reason I didn't buy from the internet or Argos. I went to Dunelm thinking that they would have them on display. O
odles of 4 slice toasters on display but 2 slice ones - NONE! All the boxes security sealed and not a member of staff on the whole floor. I complained (of course) and got told they security seal them to stop theft. Steal them!!!!! Huh!!!! It's hard enough to buy one.
Fire and toasting fork comes to mind (shame I haven't got a fire!)
Dose anyone else have trouble actually buying things these days.
