  • Plum Tree - 3-4 Years Old

    Heya all.

My Plum tree has been growing and getting bulkier with leaves and branches in the last 2-3 Years we have had it.

Noticed when planting some plants and clearing the weeds down the side that it lives in that the Leaves have White Dots on them.

It doesn't seem to be hurting the Tree as it is growing like mad and crossing our fingers for some fruit potentially this year or next.

But if i can treat it then i will.

Attached Picture for you to view.

      Thanks for the reply.

Shall i pick the leaves off to reduce it spreading? Will this affect it fruiting at all?

If its just a few leaves, picking them off would be sensible.

It might make a barely perceptible difference to the overall strength of the tree I suppose.

As for fruiting, that depends on a lot of factors like pollination etc - best advice - clear any grass/weeds around the trunk to a diameter of about 5' - give it a mulch of FYM if poss - if the tree flowers but doesn't fruit, think about getting it a friend of a different variety.

        Any other problems, just ask

        Happy gardening :-)
