So everyone the sweet chestnuts around here are great this year and the recent wind has brought some more down for us to harvest. We now have a decent bowl full of chestnuts to use. The only decision we have to make now is what to do with them. What's everyone's favourite recipes?

I like to cut an x on the bases first, then boil them for a few minutes. Remove skins while still warm and damp. Then add them to sausagemeat, to make a meat loaf or stuffing balls.
I tried Chopping them up and folding them within pastry layers, before using pastry as a lid for a 'remains of the turkey pie' one Xmas, that was lovely as well (I think it was a Jamie Oliver tip? )

Been hoping for free p&p, missed out a few weeks ago - we were in Cyprus, where we saw some 'Fernleaf' lavender. Looks really nice. So I thought I'd look for some plugs/plants when we got back.
