Hi im in my first year allotment wise i had been having problems with slugs so i put pellets down ive harvested a cabbage and a cauliflower and noticed an odd pellet has found its way onto the edible part will a good wash be ok to make them edible or have i made another error :

I'd eat it - like others have said, it'll be far less than what cabbage in the shops have been drenched with.

Reply to Heated mat for Tom's and chilliesby raryI use a mix of six scoops of compost three scoops of sand/grit and two scoops of perlite,the quantity is unimportant as long as the ratio is the same, if for seeds I use this mix, if I am potting on I add some blood, fish and bone, along with a small quantity of chicken manure pellets
