  • howdy from sunny cornwall

hi everyone and happy new year . i have just started to get my head around growing some fruit and veg , i have a terraced garden and im going to put raised beds on the bottom terrace for my veg .
im going to be building a greenhouse soon 14x8 feet which will house my chillis and toms and whatever else i can get in their
i also have some blueberry bushes coming which will be going into pots for the first year and then put in the ground 2nd year .

i would like to say what a very informative site this is .
keep up the good work .

    Hi Ollie,

How good to see someone from 'sunny Cornwall' - although not too sunny in Truro today!
Like you, I'm a fan of the vine and seem to glean something from it almost every day, not to mention the tremendous support, care and good humour that is shared in abundance by the grapes.

By the way, the snow seems to have virtually disappeared from 'our' bit of Truro

Hi Ollie and welcome to the Vine - (you need to know that there is another very famous Ollie on the Vine, OllieMartin, but don't worry, we just need to know your location on your profile!) What a great part of the country to garden in! Sounds like you have some exciting plans for growing in 2010 and I'm sure you have just joined the best group to find all the answers to your questions and to find some inspirational ideas!!

Hi Ollie, welcome to the vine! I must say, as much as i envy your location, I envy your future 14x8 greenhouse even more! Good luck with it and all your growing.
A good beginning is half the work.
Praise the young and they will make progress.
