I was looking through some threads and noticed one from Snadger where he said he used the end of his greenhouse for growing beans, I use the end of my greenhouse for my potting bench, I did at one time use a hut, but I have since turned my greenhouse and as there is a step up into the hut I was unable to use it for potting so all the potting was done in the greenhouse and through custom and practice all seed sowing and germination nowadays is done in the greenhouse do others have a potting shed or do you like me do it in the greenhouse

Mostly potting is done in the greenhouse but some things are potted in the lotty tunnel.
I made this bench from salvaged wood (Feb 2017). I've posted the pic before but it might inspire someone to dig out their DIY tools during the shut down.

If its dark, in the kitchen.
If its cold, in the kitchen.
Small propagator in the bedroom, seed trays on the bedroom windowsill.
Large propagator in the kitchen.
If its light and warm, in GH No 3 where the compost is.
Sometimes, I sow direct and skip the initial stuff.

I sow direct as much as I can, because I don't have a greenhouse or a poly-tunnel and limited space near sunny windows. I am going to module sow some beetroot today though, as I want to get it off to an earlier start than I can outdoors. When not direct sowing, I usually set up a showing station somewhere indoors. In my last house, it was in my dining room. In my current house, it's in my kitchen for now, but should probably move to my dining room.Comment

The GH is full!!! now working on the end of the fully extended dining room table (patio doors straight to the garden ) Seed trays etc filled out in the garden before being brought in...V.P.
The thing I grow best are very large slugs!

Most seeds get sown on the dining room table. I tend to cover the table and surrounding floor with newspaper, and then the seed trays go on varying windowsills. By the time they are ready for potting on they have usually moved to the greenhouse.Comment

Kitchen for me for the early seeds and any that stay indoors to germinate. Then the GH when it warms up and the trays will be staying in the GH.Comment

All of my brassicas will be direct sown where they will sit to maturity this year (thinned out to half there final width between plants).
Whilst at the allotment I noticed that the brassicas that I didn't get transplanted from my seedbed fared much better than the transplanted ones.
Not only brassicas but anything that doesn't require a load of heat will also be direct sown.
Stuff like toms and peppers are on windowsill and will stay there for the time being until this cold spell abates.

On the worktop in front of the windows in my kitchen. They then go into the boiler cupboard to germinate followed by onto the windowsills until ready to transplant to their final position. Later in the year I sit outside and use the patio table as a potting bench. Aldi had a potting bench as one of their offers a fortnight ago. I have a potting bench outside. I sometimes put it in the greenhouse early spring, if it's chilly. Today I did it all in the kitchen
