    Hi

    Does anyone know if I can do anything with unripe figs My OH has just picked me a carrier bag full.

      Open one up & if they are pink in the middle & the fruit is soft they are ripe.
      I have eaten green figs on holiday in Crete.
      The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

        Hi Bubblewrap , I Have cut them open, they are a bit pink but still very hard
        They are still quite milky and sticky. I take it there is little I can do with those

        Hubby does not know what a fresh fig looks like, when I asked him last year to let me know when they are ripe, I found out he had been waiting for them to go brown ( dried fig) so I never got to make jam last year either Bless him.

          Beat him around the head with the bag of figs and tell it hurts less when they are ripe LOL
