  • Hello every one

What a useful app this is had lots of advice in a very short time. Our plot is exposed to the winds and wild animals, This is my third year as a veg gardener, been doing ok with the brassicas but not so well will the carrots and leeks. We have 4 raised beds with a variety of soils one bed is very stoney and heavy. A pheasant is roaming around at the moment not sure if it will eat the plants. We also have flower beds by the river.

    Thanks Janet

They mostly eat grains, so you might be OK. Woodpigeons, however, will eat your plants, esp peas & brassicas

                Hello, from windy Suffolk, Janet.

We, too, have pheasants visit the garden but we don't grow veg at home. We also get pigeons, ducks, rabbits and moles, to name a few, and one year I even had the pleasure of a couple of partridges.
