Oh dear,
I cracked last night, just saw that packet of mini peppers sat there and it was talking to me, sow me, sow me... so being a gardener of little brain I succumbed! Just had to sow a dozen california wonder at the same time.
This may not be quite as daft though as it first seemed.. having had a good nose through lots of the forum posts yesterday they all seemed to be saying that peppers really need a good early start. I figure that we are nearly into February and when it gets to planting out time they can just sit in the greenhouse for a few weeks with the heater on an night if required (note to self, must replace the missing panes!).
I do love sowing seeds, there's that certain air of expectation whenever I do it, daft as it sounds, and to be honest it really is daft, I did check them this morning to see if they had sprouted yet! 12 hours, that would have been exceptional.
The strawbleberries are starting to come on great guns, and speaking to my other (and better) half last night it looks like I've got the go ahead to grab some blue berry plants this weekend :-)
So weather permitting it'll be a case of emptying out some of the planters used last year for the runner beans, a big bag of ericaceous and getting some planting done.
Can't wait for Saturday :-)
