Yes I added it up too! But you do get a nice sack to plant your very expensive 5 tubers in! Don't think I'll be bothering!

and if you get it from Tesco a free cookery mag too, and that has loads of great recipes in it.

The "free" potato offer also includes 7 packets of seeds does it not?

T & M potatoes are very expensive, you can get 4 bags plus 4 X 5 tubers for £9. And I think the selection of potatoes is better from JBA. Obviously these potatoes are aimed at people growing in bags on the patio and always tend to be more expensive. I got a 7lb bag of Winston for the lottie for £2.30 from Trago Mills which I thought was a good buy.

I completely agree LL, and wasn't remotely tempted... Now suddenly, like the Government with its policy on forests (oops!) T&M have had a change of heart and are offering THIS WEEKEND ONLY the deal below which is a mite fairer (but too late for me, I've already got all I need from elsewhere...)
                    T&M email received today:

Patio Potato Collection - Only £9.99!

It's so easy to enjoy a tasty home-grown crop of potatoes. Our 3 sturdy, green planters with strong carry handles are ideal for patio growing if space is limited, or if you just want to take the digging out of potato growing! Each planter holds approximately 40 litres of multipurpose compost, which is enough to plant 4-5 seed potatoes. Bags are even reusable over a number of years.

The collection includes 3 patio planters and 5 tubers each of Charlotte, Maris Peer and Vales Emerald - ONLY £9.99 - Save £11.47! Hurry, this special offer price ends midnight Sunday 20th February 2011.

The offer still seems to be available.
If I was a cynic I might think that they had overestimated the demand for their original offering and now have a planter mountain. Or at least overestimated the gullibility of their customers.
It's still not a decent offer is it?
