  • Pickling Onions

Having not grown any onions for pickling this year, I don't have any readily available for pickling. However, I want to pickle some NOW.

We do not have a local greengrocer any longer.

Where do you get yours from (if you do not grow them)? Have not seen them in Tesco or Morrisons.

I'm going to try Swansea Market at the weekend (fingers crossed).
While wearing your night clothes, plant cucumbers on the 1st May before the sun comes up, and they will not be attacked by bugs.

Obviously not in your area, however have you a local farm shop? I got to big sacks from mine the other week for £3.40. No point in me buying them in little bags as they are always in demand!Or try the local markets thats the other place i've bought them in the past

Thanks mrswadders. Nothing close unfortunately. I will try and get to market in Swansea and have a poke about. Used to get them from the greengrocers and they all gone

Haha, maybe if I had grown some. Trouble is, I've got short arms and long pockets
