I would think that as long as you haven't used any form of fabric conditioner, there shouldn't be a problem, because the water that comes out of your clothes should be just pure water - as long as your rinse cycle is efficient that is.

It depends which plants you want to water, I wouldn't use it to water seedlings, bigger plants might be ok if you didn't use fabric conditioner. Trees and shrubs should be ok, but they don't really need watering at this time of year! Have you smelled it? Does it smell perfume-y? If it does, use it to flush the loo?!

I would say, if you collect it in a container, and leave it outside, with no lid, for a while (a month?) anything nasty will have evaporated and you should be ok!

But I'm not a scientist, and I know nothing!

There is one way to find out though, and if your tomatoes taste of P*rsil or C*mf*rt then have a re-think lol

If it's a condenser drier, then the water vapour hasn't any lime in it. I use mine on my camellias and other lime haters. They seem quite happy.
Mind you when we had the hosepipe ban and ran out of rainwater a couple of years ago, I used the bathwater on stuff, and we got through without any problems. Perhaps I'm just not fussy enough.

It shouldn't be a problem being condensed water-vapour. I don't think fabric conditioner from the wash would get in there, but if you use those sheets in the dryer, I would be a bit more wary. I don't KNOW that anything would get through (I would have thought probably not) but less sure in that case.

I use mine and have had no problems what so ever. I'd avoid it if you use those horrible conditioning sheets (and if you do then I'm guessing you don't find them horrible!) but otherwise no problems. Don't tend to use it on seedlings but that's more cos I empty it into the large watering can and I use a more petite one for my ickle stuff.

Depends what sort you have, if it's a plumbed in sort then it just disappears but you can also get condensing ones where all the water goes into a removable tank which you have to empty every now and again.

The water in the tank of condensing tumble dryers is distilled water, and should be safe on anything. Top up your batteries anyone?

                          Hi everyone

Thanks for your answers. It is a condensor and I do not use a fabric conditioner so I may have a go at watering shrubs/trees with it as and when needed.

                          Regards
