  • Q. When are French Beans not French Beans?

    A. When they are the bag of green chillies in the freezer!

Cue very entertaining meal time as the first few mouthfuls of mixed veg went in. Followed by general recrimination and tearful hilarity.

Actually OH. As a general rule I don't do the cooking, I did wonder if this was the begining of a campaign to get me to do more!

Yes, if he was 10 (years) or below I might use that.

              LOL whoops.

I would be in so much trouble for doing that here.

Have you ever noticed how frozen bananas and sausages can look quite similar? I have a photo somewhere of milk on frozen sausages - because I wanted a banana smoothie but wasn't paying close enough attention.

In a word, No. I would like to see the pic though. Did you rescue anything?

No rescued nothing. Was too busy having hysterics.
I will have a mooch for it in a bit.

I just fancied frozen apricots with ice cream the other week- when I came to open the defrosted bag I noticed a load of tiny seeds

                    Yup- yellow tomatoes

And yet we wouldn't plant anything (would we) without labelling carefully. Or is everyone just not reading the label because they forgot to wear their spec's in the freezer shed like someone I coulod name?

I write on my bags with permanent marker pen so it should stay well and truly labelled...BUT- it scratches off in time with being moved round the chest freezer.
I do tend to keep fruit in one freezer but clearly the other freezer must have been full for me to have had to put the toms in t'other un.

..and nope- I wasn't wearing me reading specs either

Also, Marchogaeth, My auntie gave us a jar of homemade mixed pickles yesterday, what I mistook for a piece of cucumber was a big chilli slice! OOF! AND I had my lenses in Hasn't stopped me demolishing half a jar of it though yum
