  • photo help....again!

I have a pic on my desk top that I would love to post on the vine (It's not a clever pic, I just think it's nice) Gigleypants might like to see it.

How do I get it form there to here please. I would prefer it to be bigger than those crazy little pics if possible.

I am not good at computers hence the repeated question - sorry

To get a big picture, you need to upload your image to a picture hosting website such as picasa, flickr etc and then copy the URL link in to the message body.

Unless the file's too big of course...

I don't have Picasa HF, but is there somewhere on the screen when looking at the image that says "Direct URL" or "Direct Link" or something similar?

Select the photo in the album so that it is viewed as an individual image on the page. Right click on the image and select View image info (Firefox). Copy the location URL and then select the insert image icon and paste the url (with .png extension).

I use image shack for posting pics on forums.

Once you have uploaded the pic you can choose from the urls that will be listed below it. Use the post preview to see what they will look like. When on the site you will see a button marked browse click on it then look for the pic on your pc and it will basically do the rest for you.

For example this is one from a compost thread:

It looks small but if you click on it it will give you a larger version.

Hi ginger ninger, I cant own up to taking the picture - my brother took it.
He 'trained' the fox to do this over a long time - Its a savaloy - I also thought it was a carrot. I have wanted to post the pic for ages but am useless with computers. Piskie to the rescue!

Thank you all for your help - I WILL learn how to do this!
