Been buying music and movies from an online EU retailer
And have had a few issues with them
Bought a disney film from the online store it turned out to be
An italian copy which worked fine as its in the european region
However the e copy code would not work .
I asked disney for a working uk e code and received this reply
Legal issues related to copyright, require that the Unique Activation Codes for e-copy product can be activated only within the Italian territory.
The Italian law on copyright prevents the activation of e-copy codes outside the Italian territory. Our platform has, in this respect, a system of geo-filtering that prevents the activation of codes from abroad.
We are sorry but, for all these reasons, we can not accommodate your request
The online retailer seems to be off loading unsold restricted copies on the uk market.
They offered a full refund but I would just like the goods as advertised and paid for
I've also tried to copy a music cd onto my computer then put it onto my smartphone
This was also geo tagged .
Was sent another cd but it did the same thing.
Restricting digital copies but not hard copies !
