Last of the parsnips. They were very small last/this year but tasty.
Rhubarb has been forced under pots for a few weeks...not a lot but there only two of us.
Have made a big fence and gate to separate off the bit of common land between our garage and the house next door. It used to contain a brick shed that the department used for storing salt etc but they demolished it and just left a gaping gap with our garden open to the road ....the fence and gate are made from pallets.
Also finally got round to making a fence and gate where the garden opens onto the tiny path that leads to the river ...this is made from pallets too. We are quite pleased with ourselves as all of them have not cost much ...had to buy the posts and the fixings but none of the wood.
