  • Got a Tune Stuck in Your Head?

    Earworms plural of ear·worm
    Noun
A catchy song or tune that runs continually through a person's mind.

Lately, I'm veering from Adele's Skyfall to Benny Andersson's Tyrolean Schottische, mixed with a bit of Frank Sinatra's Young at Heart and through to Steve Balsamo's Immortal

    What stuck in your head?

My wife watched a film while I was reading my magazine last night the film was called The Sweetest Thing and it had a rude 'ish' song in it to my horror I found myself singing it today

I wake up with a different song in my head each morning - then I sing it in the shower and I'm stuck with it all day. Fortunately, by the following morning its been replaced by another one

The Levellers, not even sure which tune it is, but the line is 'Why is it England, I feel like rubbish on your streets?'. Must find the CD and see if I can get it out of my head!

Mermaid by Train. Drives me mad 'cause every time I get in the car, it's on the ruddy radio. I don't mind it, really, I guess, but I'd far rather they played Drops of Jupiter by the same group.

I love Drops of Jupiter by Train.

Now I've gone and got The Day We Caught The Train (Ocean Colour Scene) stuck in my head....good song though.

The thing about getting songs stuck in your head is how annoying it is when you can't remember all of the lyrics!

I wouldn't mind earworms so much if only they were by any of the fabulously creative and wonderfully talented artists that I love to listen to. Why does my brain always pic some dreadful tat?! Today it's the 'doodoodoodoodoododoo' music from the Benny Hill Show. Thanks for that brain.

My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."
