So I seem to have a fly problem on my veg. They are big- I think bluebottles but I don�t know my flies. Google tells me they feed on rotting meat but there is definitely no rotting meat on my allotment. I have a lot of dead slugs/snails in one area due to putting pellets down but the flies are in a different part!
I *think* they are on my swede plants. But I�ve been a bit of an idiot and planted everything without labels and as it�s my first year I don�t know what a few things are rather embarrassingly!
I did have a cat problem. Using my raised beds as it�s litter tray but this was a new raised bed I filled with new compost and planted my overcrowded �swede� into. Now the original bed and the new one have all wilted a bit which I assumed was because I upset them but now I�m wondering if it�s the flies?
They are around my rockery too. (I�m using my garden) I don�t know the rockery plants as it was there when I moved in last autumn.
I�m a bit baffled.

Am I making sense here does anyone know what�s attracting them?
