Prevening All Well that's me at home till Tuesday. Delivery for us and neighbours was ok, but didn't get flour or yeast. I wouldn't mind but it wasn't unavailable so I've paid for it - bet it's in someone else's bags and I got their ginger and kale!

    Time to set sail!

"The phrase over the yardarm refers to the practise of officers on sailing ships of waiting until the sun appeared to above a particular yardarm before having their lunch or first alcoholic drink of the day. In summer in the north Atlantic this would be at about 11am. This became the time when the sailors received their first ration of rum, and the officers stuck to this time even when ashore. The expression spread to landlubbers and is still quite widely used, especially in North America. On land the sun appears over the proverbial yardarm at around 5pm"

I braved Aldi today as one of my elderly relatives texted me their shopping list this morning and my fridge was looking empty. Long queue around the car park, but when I got in everything we both wanted was there apart from bread flour and lemons. Not out of bread flour completely yet and I did get lemon juice instead of lemons. Also they had plenty of wine! Everyone was behaving well and chatting in the queue.
One member of a lot of families seems to be really happy at the moment........dogs. I never knew there were so many living around me. Also nice to see families walking together, including teenagers! A couple at the allotment this week, helping dad, who seems a lot less stressed now he's not constantly on call as their taxi.

I think you can still register now. I tried to sign mjm to sainsbury but arnt taking new customers yet. It's about getting the government letter you have to sign up on . Once signed.up you should be contacted . I havnt been as yet, others neither.
It's all a bit slow ..not just the shopping lark.

To get these ‘vulnerable’ slots, do you have to be an existing customer?

Shattered now. Dogs are asleep . One by the fire in her usual place (oldest dog), younger lay other side of the room.
Gave them both play time in the garden.. 2 different games for each. Throw balls further for youngest, oldest likes to catch them without youngest stealing it.

I actually had an email from Tesco's today to say they and added me to their vulnerable list which is a relief. When I go to book delivery the Flexi slots have turned into priority slots now. Still none available but I have mine booked for this week and next which is for us and my parents shopping.

It's a huge relief as in Wales and up til now they didn't have any information on the Wales list for supermarkets x

^^^^ I cant even get a slot ..OH will have to go.to.supermarket tomorrow . Not so bad that I need prescription anyway , not ideal . Even ringing tesco about vulnerable slots it cut me off.
Because they are saying dont go out and one in / one out everyone has gone online. How do.ill and elderly stay up. I struggle.past 9.30 now. Will have to see if OH can have a go.

Himself and my neighbours have seen 3 deliveries by Trashco today, all to houses who have never had one and none of them vulnerable. Pah I've told my over 80 neighbours to extend their list from what they need to what they want.
