Help please... Am I still ok to plant a plum tree at this time of year? My son wants one on the allotment.

i believe this is the time of year for planting fruit, I have a plum tree on its way too.
You might just want to check with whoever runs your allotments if you are allowed to plant trees though. If not you can grow some varieties in a pot.Imagination is everything, it is a preview of what is to become. -

Reply to Heated mat for Tom's and chilliesI use a mix of six scoops of compost three scoops of sand/grit and two scoops of perlite,the quantity is unimportant as long as the ratio is the same, if for seeds I use this mix, if I am potting on I add some blood, fish and bone, along with a small quantity of chicken manure pellets
