I went to my 'secret' damson tree to see how things were progressig during my lunch break today and whilst there I noticed in all the nettles and undergrown another tree of interest. i fought my way in and found that it was a plum tree, with hundreds of ripe plums (guess who making jam soon!) and a fig tree, which the birds have got too first.
but even better than that was a mulberry in behind that.
I am working again tomorrow so I will try to get a few piccies, i just now need to work out how to stop them being too overgrown whilst not making it too obvious that I have been there, this is on waste ground from an old convent that a part has had a development on, but the rest is between the building and a public field.
ps anyone know how and when to take cuttings from mulberries?

But I still have a crowd of bullace trees that are a great alternative to sloes 
I haven't been to check them yet this year, but they're probably somewhere near ready now...
