    Bardsey island apple

    After more googling came across someone's recommendation for Bardsey island apple as not like any other apple, incomparable taste.
    So really cannot resist it. But would like to ask if anyone here tried them?

      I have not tried Bardsey yet, but I have not heard from anyone who thinks the flavour is "incomparable" - neither would I expect it to be.

      What it does have is a very good "back story" and provenance.

      It is also a good choice for anyone trying to grow apples in mild but damp climates (Cornwall, Cumbria, north-west Scotland etc).
