So, as I've bored everyone rigid with my tales of woe (losing current lottie) and rejoicing (gaining new lottie), I figured it would be beneficial (to me) to keep some sort of log on proceedings.
Saturday was the first opportunity I've had to get a fork in the ground and find out what I've taken on.
Not overly horrified at what I found.
Yes, plenty of danelions and docks. A certain amount of couch - but strangely only in "pockets". Lots of clover and masses of buttercup. Oh yes - and quite a bit of regular meadow grass.
Managed to dig one 8x4 bed out and topped it with brown paper bread sacks from the Bakery.
Sunday went up to Muck Buddy and filled eight compost bags with pooh. All very well rotted. Yum.
Topped paper with pooh, sat Red Duke of York on top and covered them with homemade compost.
Then proceeded to dig out second bed and repeat the whole process. If it hadn't came on to rain quite heavily, I would have probably carried on and quite possibly done myself a mischief.
Today it rained non-stop. Went up to greenhouse and potted on some All Green Bush Courgettes and some Jack O' Lantern Pumpkin. Have chanced it and left them up there as would not have room for them on window-sills now. Given them a bit of added protection with a carefully crafted (
) minicloche.Things are getting very tight in there now. Do hope Mr Teez tummy bug clears up soon as I want to go and get my "new" greenhouse.
I'm getting this thanks to Step son's efforts where he was working this week. 'Parently the chap who has it just wants rid of it. 6x8! IDEAL!!
