Starting over

Doesn't seem possible I posted here so many years ago. 2008!
Since then I started a new allotment site, and now moved on to pastures new. It's hard to believe I got my first new plot before signing the lease on our house. That was March last year, and now I have two! Plots not houses. Ah, yes two houses as well, because I rented out my own to move nearer to work.
My original plot had been left for several years because the previous tenant had failing health but did not want to give up, so the couch grass, nettles and raspberries had taken hold.
It has been quite a struggle and I've yet to explore the rubbish heaps at the back, but I got good crops of beans, potatoes, sweetcorn, cabbage sprouts and squash.
The other plot is going to be devoted mainly to fruit. It had also been neglected, but not for so long.
