  • I've got one!!!!

I am so pleased, I took the call last night from the Allotment Association Secretary to say there are three plots available and as I am next on the list I can chose which one I want. I am going this Sunday to meet everyone, pay the appropriate fees and take it on. I can't wait

Due to demand, whenever a full size plot becomes available they split it and offer a half which I am really happy with.

I'm not sure how big half but I am really looking forward to it.

Thanks all....it was a bit of a strange day yesterday as I had received some really bad news yesterday about a friend and was quite low. When I got home from work I took the call and that really lifted by spirits.

I will take the camera with me and take a load of before, during and after photos.

It is in Bexely Borough only two miles from my house..I am sooooo pleased. I had just finished the plans for my garden and was just waiting for the weather to warm up.....I now have another project to get my teeth into :-D

The current Mrs P has already asked for a space for cut flowers, and if it gets her involved then I am more than happy to share my plot with her.

Thanks Mr PH. No it didn't, I put my name down on the list last August and got the call this week. I was prepared for a really long wait....but thankfully I didn't have to wait too long and has come at a really good time too.

Need to get some good wellies now :-)

He he....got to keep her on her toes

The fact I am going to let her grow something on my new allotment means she'll be around for a while

Hooray - I'm very happy for you - and don't want to spoil your excitement but...
Before you sign the agreement, and start forking out for tools, seeds, and all the other really tempting stuff you might want to know that if you are in Greenwich, they will be putting the rent up to £200 a year this April.

                              Hi Confused Rhubarb,

Thanks for that, I was reading that this morning in the paper and was quite shocked....my plot is actually in Bexley Borough next door (they don't mind non residents owning plots) and they haven't put up their prices yet, plus in the phone call I was told how much it will cost me.
