  • Govt initiative 'Neighbourhood Planning' - could be a way to get more lottie sites

Neighbourhood planning - Planning, building and the environment - Department for Communities and Local Government

I am involved in the set up of my local NP committee. I'm not convinced it's a good thing overall but leaving my personal politics out of it, it *might* be a way to get more allotment sites. It's something we're already discussing here in Lincoln. Worth a bash if you're after a lottie and have the time and energy to get involved.
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

"initiatives" seem to be a bit of bluster to make us think they are doing something useful .... take a look at this from a few years ago ...

croydon council is mentioned as a case study, yet still there is a multi-year waiting list (now closed until at least next year) and no interest in providing more land, despite the vast amount of unused land in croydon ....

Aye. I did make my reservations clear. Better to try than sit back and moan though.
