  • Waiting for news of a new lottie!!

Woo hoo! Just applied for a lottie! Apparantly only 49% of the lotties on this plot are taken so hopefully I can join the ranks of the "proper vegheads".

I'll keep you posted on how it goes - phoning them to chase it up tommorrow!!

Sounds like you shouldn't have any problem with waiting lists. Are the plots in a secret location? Good luck and have fun.
It is the doom of man, that they forget.

Turns out they are less than a mile from my home - I've phoned the guy who overlooks them 4 times!! I've since left a message. (Hate talking into answer phones!)

Hopefully he'll get back to me today! Haven't told hubby i'm doing this yet!!

        Fingers crossed for you, Victoria!

When my husband told me I couldn't have chickens until we got an allotment (not enough space in the garden for chickens and the amount of veg-growing we want to do), I went out and snagged a small lottie within about a week, won an eglu on ebay and presented him with a fait accompli

Very exciting - does this mean you might start to like Ipswich a bit more now?

Ok so I've not been a massive fan of Ipswich since the move two weeks ago BUT I feel like I'm turning a corner. Getting a job is a struggle at the moment but I'm applying for everything.
An allotment will make me feel like part of the community - Kinda wish I hadn't put the majority of my veg into my garden just now!!
Wish this old geezer would answer the blinking phone and talk to me regarding these allotments though!!! ARGHHHH!!

Isn't it a perfect time to get more seedlings started on the window sill?! Get sowing and you'll have plenty for your allotment too

                Enjoy your allotment!

If you promise him more space at home for his barbeques he'll be happier I daresay
Hope you get a good 'un Victoria
