I have cut off the foliage of my potatoes. Is it ok to add these to the compost heap? Other allotment owners near me have been burning them.

If you've had blight they are better burnt. If they were healthy then you can compost them. -
I prefer to burn.
Blight only 'shows' on the plant a couple of weeks after being 'infected' ( well- I'm pretty sure it's something like that)
