motivation - hum, funny old thing isn't it!

You'd think as it was gardening that was to be done, 'we' would never ever lose the motivation, but life is cruel sometimes.

Try to project yourself into how you feel on a warm, sunny day - see how wonderful you feel. Now bring that feeling into today and get ya butt out there

yeah......

it's all a bit "blep" as my friend's toddler would say

I need to transport all my stuff up - nowhere to store tools or even a chair to sit on while I have my flask of coffee... and it's cold.............

suppose I should be grateful that the ground isn't still covered in snow....

I shall get a flask made, lots of layers on and get myself up there (rain permitting) straight after school drop off tomorrow....

Take some before and after pictures to see what you have achieved It worked for me !.
Remember all those sunny days last year wondering through the plot picking salads for lunch and vegetables for tea !
Well thet was all possible because of the graft you put in in the winter.
Once you make a start you will want to carry on and you will sleep a lot easier tonight.

I find it hard to get motivated too. Doesn't help having my plot in my back garden, it's too easy just to nip inside and get distracted. If I had to walk down to an allotment I'd stick around for the duration and make better use of my time....probably!

I felt like that this morning, but get on with the things you MUST do, then get out there and do it. As I say to Mrs Pumpy "Those pots and pans won't do themsleves now will they?"

Just spent 90 minutes in my neighbours garden which I've got for a year or two, last bit of first round of weeding, Another bag, making 7 bags in all of Greater Plantain and two tree stumps up. Loads more to do, yes I feel a bit tired, but its getting there.

If you can't face doing it all, take it in smaller chunks.

Try doing a Maori Haka in the middle of your plot. Doesn't help with the motivation but it scares the Bejeezus out of your fellow plotters!

I have to trick myself that I'm going to the lottie just to check up on a couple of things -like taking the kitchen compost to empty or pick a couple of herbs. Once I'm there I tend to start pottering - then before I know it - I've started getting stuck in!
