Chris11 Challenge - June 1st Guess

There are 3 plants in the Polytunnel with the same look and feel to them (4A, 11B, 12B) - 12B yet to fruit

The plants are tall and gangly with purple nodes at the branch joints. The plants are similar in shape to my Hot Cayenne and Ring of Fire plants, but the fruits are larger. However Ring of fire does not have purple nodes

Should these seeds be from the 2017 list, I would guess that 4A & 11B are Joe's Long Cayenne. 12B may be a Golden Cayenne. This would explain why the plants are similar, but tips of the flower buds for 12B do not have purple tinge

As ever - time will tell

This is fascinating. Thank you so much for growing these, and your great growing reports

The Mystery Mixed pack had a Bakers Dozen of different varieties all mixed up. None of them were Joe's Long....but one of them was a Golden Cayenne.

Thanks for that snippet. Sometimes you can be too organised. I'd lifted the list and pasted it into a spreadsheet - played about with highlight and background in different colours and the hide function. There were 2 on the list hidden. Cayenne Large Red Thick and Ring of Fire 2017. I'll look again and revise.
