Evening all-
I was just tidying up garden after all day planting, moving stuff etc. and I pulled out a big weed from a pot and a newt jumped out. V. sleepy - I think I woke him from hibernation. He's back in pot now - I've put pot in loosely tied plastic bag cos I want to show OH when he comes in. It hasn't got an orange spotty tummy like some I've seen before. Think it might be female.

They were all of different sizes and i think most of them had yellow spotted stomachs 
I dont think he expected to find that when he dug the concrete up
