-7 at the moment, got down to -10 last night, used hot water to defrost the poly door to get, in it was a snug 48 degrees but had to leave the door open for an hour to get some cold in to do the soil some goodComment

Minus 12 here last night as well.
Today was a brilliant day with sunshine and a really clear crisp day.
Had my grand-kids for the day and we had so much fun from building a snowman to sliding down the hill on an old plastic table top.
Can't buy any of the great things I experienced today and wouldn't swap it for money if i could.

Reply to Heated mat for Tom's and chilliesI use a mix of six scoops of compost three scoops of sand/grit and two scoops of perlite,the quantity is unimportant as long as the ratio is the same, if for seeds I use this mix, if I am potting on I add some blood, fish and bone, along with a small quantity of chicken manure pellets
