Default Weather websites

Whats the best websites to look at for the weather in advance? When we had snow a couple of weeks back, the website I used didnt mention it for my area until 2 days before. I only knew in advance from on here when others mentioned that snow was on the way a week earlier.

What sites do you all swear by?

I use http://www.metcheck.com, you just type in your postcode. It even gives gardening weather under the hobbies section.

I use metcheck too - more accurate than BBC for me!.
'Tis interesting to compare BBC, Metcheck and Yahoo(http://uk.weather.yahoo.com/UKXX/UKXX0092/index_c.html)

I use our local weather forecasting professional based on Fair Isle. I know its not any use for you. But it is VERY accurate, so if you can find someone local to you who has a website updated each day, that might be your best bet. BBC and others for our area are pretty hopeless!

Thanks for that Bex - I found the BBC one to be quite wrong on occasions! Have put the metcheck one into my favourites! Bernie aka Dexterdog

I use Metcheck and this one http://uk.weather.com/
Between them, I find it quite accurate. metcheck seems to be a bit pessimistic about temperatures, but very accurate for timings.

All of them seem to be a bit random but I tend to believe which ever one gives the best forecast!!!! Seriously though, I'd have thought that they all got their info from the Met office so I can't understand why there are so many differences, even between local and national news on the same TV channel.

Thanks for those suggestions. I am now trying to find a local forecaster as suggested by Jennie, no joy yet, but will keep trying.

I can never figure why the forecast is so different to each other!
