  • O No...Snow, Again Grrrrrrrr.

Not the best of things to wake up to in a morning, but when there's 3" down and it hadn't been forecast...Grrrrrr.
Then to my amazement I pop the T.V on and there's a "Severe Weather Warning" from the Met Office for the North of England, East coast and Midlands , I'd say its a tad too late for that, it's already here. Watch Out its on its way South.

Got it here in East Yorks too. When I went out to 'do' the chickens at just after 8 there was a hard frost - temps had dropped to -5 overnight. By the time I got inside again the first tiny flakes were falling. They are big fat woolly ones now!

It's coming down like mad here. The garden's covered again and there's not a clear patch of sky in sight.

The furry little 4 legged creacher that lives with me is REFUSING point blank to go out in it, he hates snow.

Loads here too, it started about 6am. It was forecast though, by Metcheck. Not sure what the others were saying though.
We've got a sever westher warning for Weds/Thurs on Metcheck, for huge amount of snow. But the other forecasts are all saying it's going to be massively heavy rain. So we'll see who gets it right. But I must say, I'd actually prefer the rain... I don't panic about slipping on rain

We've got 4 inch of snow even though the road was gritted last night there's not much traffic around.
                Location....East Midlands.

Thank goodness for that - the rain has stopped and it is looking a bit brighter.

Is it just me, or does Sarz's multiquote button look orange to you? Oh, green now - must have just been me!

Looks green to me! It does turn orange if you click it, but you can click it again to 'undo' it and it goes back to green

had no snow falling here today (for a change!), but still have quite a bit on the ground. Got down to -12 last night. When will I ever be able to anything in the garden!!

Had about 3" or so overnight but looks like it is beginning to thaw a bit now.

I have just had to get the clippers out and shear the dog!

She is a Lhasa Apso so the snow clings to her fur, we have had to get the hairdryer on her to thaw out the balls of snow which were clinging to her legs and belly. Poor little mite.

Oh well, she has just had a number 2 cut so should be a bit better when she comes in later.

Woke up to quite a bit of snow here, so have topped up the bird feeders and put out 'liquid water', a thaw has started now though.

It's been chucking it down with rain here since about 8. 30. No gardening today then. Doesn't show any sign of stopping any time soon.
