  • Wahey !! I finally managed to grow a monster.

Well, amazingly after only growing the single Marrow seed really late and only getting one single fruit to set at the end of August, this was the result after just 6-7 weeks of growth.
A 50+ pound Marrow just grown in a bit of my neglected patch with no special treatment at all.
    Bonkers !!!
Please have a look at my Veg Growing Diary.

    Thanks.

If you ever take up growing runner beans, it's going to be "Fee fi fo fum" all over again, isn't it Dan...
I don't have sound on my computer at the moment, so I don't know if you said - what variety is it ?

I've had my worst ever season with marrows and courgettes. Harvested one marrow and that was only a table dainty. Haven't harvested a single courgette. What happened? i haven't got a scoobie. The only consolation is that there's always next year

That's a big 'un! I've had one courgette this year, having sown 2 packets of seeds and bought 2 butternut squash plants. At least I know that I'm not the only disappointed courgette lover.

Dan is the Ying to our Yang ! I think his variety is probably called "Cosmic Balance".

that is impressive - you must have a big cooker and lots of stuffing!

I did ok with my squashies but I did start hand pollinating them!
