    Very damp, heavy poor draining soil 100% shade..

    My front garden is at the moment very bright with bulbs, tulips daffs ect, when these die off i'm looking to grow something edible here.
    As the title suggests it has no sunlight, is cool, with very poor drainage.
    Is there anything anyone can think of that might give me a good result, or do I have to let SWMBO have it for flowers!!?

    From my limited experience I understand that basically all veg benefits from being in a sunny spot. I've had success with radishes, onion an spring onion in the shadier spots

    Might have trouble germinating in full shade and would probably have more success starting in pots before transplanting to their final spot when strong and healthy

      Salads and herbs will grow fine in those conditions....

      experiment though.... that's half the fun!

        Regardless of the shade you could tackle the soil by improving drainage and its humus content. (ie hard work) This will be better for both vegetables and flowers.
