    hindsight is a wonderful thing but foresight is a whole lot better

    They are usually sown early in the year. If you have a load of seed it might be worth trying some to see if you can get baby leeks in spring but I am not sure how they will do.

      Funnily enough I was just talking this evening to a show leek grower who's show leeks for next year, grown from pips, are a couple of inches high now!

      Very costly and not for the fainthearted this leek showing!
