Default Rhubarb still ok to eat?

We've got quite a bit of rhubarb left to harvest, but a lot of the leaves have gone yellow/red/pink and basically died. The rhubarb stalks themselves still look ok though.

Is it still ok to eat/make into jam etc if i were to pull it all tonight?

Thanks!

I've heard that rhubarb's best eaten when there isn't an 'R' in the month - so you've got a while yet, though it sounds a bit poorly and in need of nutrient.

Thanks I just wanted to make sure that whatever was in the leaves (i've heard it's poisonous) hasn't travelled back into the actual stalks! I certainly don't want to go and make myself ill! lol

In the autumn the acid thats in the leaves does travel back down to the crown! I wouldn't have thought this would be happening yet though!

Personally though, if the leaves weren't healthy I wouldn't fancy eating the stalks!
